Forgive me. This was at the end of a very...very...long day.

I knew yesterday it was going to be a pajama dress kind of day. I threw a shirt over this maxi dress, and I'm pretty sure Leah has the exact same dress. What can I say...our taste is good.

I did get compliments on how cute my skirt was. Oh wait, it's not a skirt. It's a dress.

All I can say at this point is thank God tomorrow is jean Friday.

If it weren't I might not survive.

The husband and I have season tickets this year and are going to the opening Texas Tech home game on Saturday. Psyched up.

I hardly ever get dressed up on the weekend...so I felt like changing things up. My husband took me to brunch at one of my favorite places in Amarillo. We sat on the patio, ate and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We live really close to historic route 66, and it has some of the best antique shopping ever. We only went into one store (my favorite one-see below), but there are tons of other shops lining the street. I didn't want to make him suffer too much, so we headed home. Later, I went to go lay out by the pool and then we went to dinner. I am looking forward to cooking out tonight and watching some D-MAV basketball!

3 more mondays

I totally love my job. It is crazy for me to think there are only 3 more Mondays until the end of the school year...and then summer school starts. Woo-hoo! If you read my earlier post, my husband and I drove 4 hours south this weekend to the Rocky Mountain Elk Banquet (it is a group that is about conserving the elk population). Anyways, we had a great time and a lovely dinner. Here are some pics from what I wore:

First of all, I live about 5 minutes from Old Route 66. It has the BEST antique shops with reasonably priced cool, old stuff. Everywhere. Really. I can't go too often because it's hard to control myself. Anyways, there is also this really cool store called Nest (check out the blog here, it is well worth a read) and they have all KINDS of cool furniture and trinkets. I picked up these neat leather bracelets after stopping in on Saturday. Seriously, store is like an Anthropologie on crack-the creative decor in the store is absolutely amazing and I love checking out their window displays! I also picked up the headband I'm wearing but I forgot to picture it.

Double Dose

I flew into Dallas yesterday. Last night, I rode the light rail downtown with a friend and we met up with another friend and had a great time. I needed a quick OOTD pic, so in the middle of the bar she snapped one for me. I look horrible at this point, because I'd already been to work, flown to Dallas, been on the rail, and been at the bar for a couple hours. It's actually a maxi dress and I threw a top over it. I'm really into that sort of thing these days.

This morning, I made a quick trip to my favorite j.crew outlet store. Some people hate on the j.crew outlet for the quality, etc. I've never had a problem and the two personal shoppers who always help me there are absolutely awesome. I loaded up on some great spring threads, which I am sure you will see in coming weeks!

This is actually what I wore to the store. It was kind of funny because I bought the top last time I was in and my PS commented on how cute my outfit was. She also mentioned that I should work in the store and then remembered I live 300 miles away from the nearest j.crew. Sad face.

I'm going to be really honest. It has been seriously hard to get out of bed this week. It's just so warm...and cozy...and I might just crawl into it right now. I think I hear it calling me. I had no idea what I was going to wear today, I just started pulling random items out of my closet...I got called a hippie...I'm totally okay with that...and here is what today looked like...
